We provide access to only authorized customers, with proper identification. We have many measures of security including video playback for our customers to view upon request. Our facility covers over 18,000 square feet, with 10,500 sq. feet currently dedicated to our IDC floor. We can accommodate 427 - 45 U cabinets - either 19" or 23" or install a Suite Space of your required square footage. The IDC floor is a 24" raised floor, capable of supporting 2,000 lbs. psf, through which all of our cabling, power and HVAC is supported.

We have two 500 kVA backup power sources that operate in hot-synced pairs for redundancy. They provide conditioned power as well as automatic and seamless backup. In case of an outage, our generator will automatically start within seven seconds to begin supplying power to the IDC. Our generator is a 1,000 KW Cummins Onan diesel that can run for over 35 hours, at full data center capacity, on a single tank of fuel. We have a contract with three local fuel providers to refill our tanks within four hours of our request. Our generator is tested weekly; the UPS/ATS systems are tested monthly.

Our UPS system feeds one 1,600 Amp panel, that in turn feeds 100 Amp panels located at the head of every row of cabinets. We provide 120 V, 20 Amp AC power to every cabinet and have the capacity to deliver 208 V AC upon request. We also have rectifiers from which we can also provide 48V DC power.

We have pre-laid Category 5 zoned cabling systems to conveniently provide T1 or Ethernet connectivity to every cabinet. When data cables intersect with power cables, interference can occur. To avoid the potential for any "noise," our power distribution and network cabling never cross. Our cabling terminates in the middle of our data center, in convenient patch bays, where our network equipment is, while the power is distributed from the outside edge of the IDC.

Our facility is carrier-neutral and can connect with any long haul carrier that you select. Here in our Telco row, we terminate OC-3s from AT&T, XO Communications and ICG Communications. We have a Digital Cross-Connect (DXC or DAX) for our telco lines. The DAX takes DS-3s and breaks them down to T1s for eventual customer use.

We also have a redundant IP router configuration to manage our Internet infrastructure. BGP4 and HSRP-supported XO, Metromedia Fiber Network, Inc., Cogent Communications, Inc. and Netifice Communications are our carriers for this multi-homed Internet product. This gives you maximum flexibility and reliability for your application.

Our HVAC is provided and controlled by 10 Data Air units that keep humidity at 50 percent and a temperature range between 68 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Their performance is monitored in the NOC on our DataTrax. Our HVAC system is designed to deliver AC through the floor, forcing it up through the perforated tiles located on every other row. This is to provide more efficient cooling of customer equipment. The cold air is forced up in front of the customer cabinets and travels through the equipment. The hot air is expelled out the backs of the cabinets providing manageable circulation. We actually only need 4 units to cool our facility, but we have 5 so that we can do hot swaps if there is a malfunction.

Our system includes a fire protection system uses a Data Air 26-ton unit that is the collector for our VESDA early warning system. The VESDA uses a laser-mirror system reading particulate to two microns as normal, particulate larger than two microns sends the system into alarm. This system is more sensitive than the human nose giving an operations technician advanced warning to a possible problem that may arise from equipment overheating. We also have heat and smoke detectors in the floor and ceiling that are controlled in the NOC and monitored at the Sacramento County Fire Dispatch Center. Our sprinkler pre-action system is a dry pipe design, which makes the possibility of accidental water dispersal outdated. When an alarm is activated, the Fire Department would be dispatched. Water from a sprinkler would be dispersed only in the fire origin, leaving the remainder of the IDC unaffected. All the fire extinguishers on the IDC floor are FM200, and our O1 staff is trained in their proper use.

When our clients enter, an operations technician will escort each authorized individual to their respective cabinet and unlock it. The locks that we provide for our clients' cabinets only have two keys: one for access; and a spare that is kept in a secure location. Our cabinets come with one shelf we can configure to your specifications. We also have several monitors, keyboards and rolling desks that an operations technician can set up for your convenience.
